Ryan, I think it's safe to say that we disagree on many things and we've been down this road before. I do appreciate dialog, but in the past, dialog seems to be overshadowed by sweeping statements that often times have no merit. I am not saying that you don't have the right to disagree; absolutely you do. And I am not saying that your fear about the change in healthcare is off base, I have some general fears about the new plan. But, the way in which you express this fear is where I disagree. You express your fear and disagreement with talk of conspiracy theories and "propaganda." Ryan, this is exactly where we disagree; politicians do some pretty nasty things and they aren't generally the kind of people that I'd love to hang out with, but they are not involved in a conspiracy to "socialize" medicine. They don't get up in the morning and think "hm...how can I trick the American people into a socialized system that will lead them down a road to premature death.

Forgive me, but I cannot understand anyone who believes these things and dialog with people who believe like this doesn't work- it's just fuel for their fire...and frankly useless...have you seen the townhall meetings...there isn't any logic involved, the facts are all lost and don't want to be heard- it's mob mentality and conspiracy theory all the way...

If I could speak to those directly involved in the healthcare debate I would say this:

Please express your fear honestly. You have every right as I do, to say that you fear the plans that these people have, but don't make them out to be evil by sweeping statements.

What's lost here is the real need; those without healthcare who wait yet another year while fear drives the debate/riot over changes to an already faulty healthcare system. Worst of all, both of us Ryan, are absolutely taken care of as far as insurance is concerned. We have "king plans" compared to many Americans.

Ryan,

Your own analysis of this debate is very bias in its understanding of the health care debate happening in this country.

You yourself have given into the propoganda that has been dished out by the statist's agenda and that makes this post very hypocritical.

Instead of regarding an opposing debate as "scare tactics and ridiculous fear-mongering at the expense of dialog," it might be beneficial to actually understand the opposing position and facts that have led to one of the greatest showing of "Power to the People" that this country has seen in decades.

In regards to Sarah Palin's comment, was it over the top? Perhaps. But, if you read Ali Emanuel's, the new Obama health care czar, take on the United State's health care system...the comment's underlying meaning is not off-base.

You say you want dialogue, but in the same instance you leave no room for it.

What? Are you claiming to not be Mennonite? I don't think I can be friends with someone who's not Mennonite. What? I'm not Mennonite either? Oh, shoot. Well, I guess we can be friends again. Yeah!

In my defense, that was all true for me too and I was born in 1980. I had friends, rode my bike across town and back, got spanked, and I could make a stick be anything I wanted it to be.

I say 'amen'. I tried to watch Conan but it's not the same. I think he talks more about his hair than anything else. Not that he's not amusing sometimes but not for this.

I'm worried.

Our God and our Savior are, increasingly, becoming trivial symbols of a large "fringe group" that "believes in the unbelievable."

I think this is an important article to read:
http://www.modernconservative.com/metablog_single.php?p=3206

Instead of being the light of the world, America has crawled into the shadows of submission and man. Revelations has never been more apparent than it is right now.

Look toward the skies, Ryan.
